Not long ago, Patty and her husband, Dr. Scott Rocklage, were contacted by a former head of the chemistry department at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from which Scott had earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry. They learned from Sylvia Ceyer that two of their acclaimed chemistry labs, the nanotechnology and nanochemistry labs in Building 2, were in need of a deep restoration. Both Patty and Scott were quickly on board with providing the funding needed in order to carry out this project. The work was completed in July 2016 and both labs now have the latest technology which is needed to carry out important research and educate the chemistry leaders of tomorrow and more information click here.

When the labs were completed, a ceremony was held for the Rocklage’s. They were given tours of the renovated labs and then led to the vestibule of the two labs. They were given tribute by Sylvia Ceyer, the current Department Head Timothy Jamison, as well as one given by Professor Moungi Bawendi. At the end of the tribute, a plaque was revealed which honored the couple for their financial contribution making the restoration possible.

In Patty’s personal life, she is overseeing the complete remodel of their home in Sudbury. There were extensive issues with the home they wanted to change such as the kitchen not being sufficiently connected to the rest of the house, the front door in the wrong location, and a need for a new front facade. How Does Thor Halvorssen Challenge People Who Oppress Their Countries?

Posted by SugarMusic on

There are still oppressive governments out there that are completely mistreating their people, and the people who run these governments are at fault in all ways. They are going to keep doing these things until other leaders around the world try to do something, but it is hard to make a world leader make a change unless there is someone pushing for changes all the time. The people who are going to benefit the most from this are regular citizens, and they are not going to be able to do these things on their own. They are more likely to jailed or killed for speaking out, and that is why they need Thor Halvorssen.

He started the Human Rights Foundation to fight for people who could not fight for themselves, and he is still doing that to this day. He is constantly taking meetings with people from around the world, and he will speak out when he knows that it is dangerous for the regular people of a nation. He is very in tune with the way the world is turning, and he gets a lot of very interesting news reports that help him form his opinions.

The stories that he tells to the media are taken from these reports, and he is literally speaking for people who cannot do it on their own. It is something that everyone needs to consider when they are thinking about injustice around the world, and they need to join with Thor Halvorssen to help. They can volunteer at one of his offices, or they could go so far as raising money. He wants to reach as many people as he possibly can, and he believes that he will be able to change lives when he is speaking for them because they never could.
